The OPERA System makes it easier for parents to make subject evening appointments with their child’s teachers by:
- showing each teachers availability throughout the evening
- meaning they do not have to rely upon their child to make arrangements
It reduces the workload for teachers by:
- allowing parents to book their own appointments.
- reducing the need for teachers to chase students and/or contact parents direct.
It also allows the school to monitor attendance in a quick and effective manner seeing which parents attend and subjects are well attended.
Provides data on overall and individual performances in BTEC courses. The system is able to show: the progress a student is making in their BTEC – good for AFL and parental involvement as the system is web-based and available via secure login; task guidance and deadlines as required by the Centre Risk Assessment (CRA) – use the BTEC Module and there is no need to create an independant student course book; students that have missed deadlines by automatically colour coding the missed tasks/criteria.
