Burgundy – Sauvignon Blanc – 2012

This was an impulse purchase today on a beautiful and hot sunny Saturday from our local Sainsbury. Produced by Les Vignerons de Tutiac we are told it has a complex and elegant style, grapefruit and floral aroma with a zesty citrus and exotic fruit taste. Price £8.99

Probably a bad time for my first assessment of a bottle of wine as I have a stinky summer cold but here goes. It’s very gentle on the nose (I can’t smell it) but the initial taste is quite floral? Reasonably long on the finish with a slightly acidic hit.

Buy again – not until I added a few more posts and a few more grapes to the record.
