This simple transistor motor circuit is based on ARDX-03. It uses a number of new components that you will need to understand. Start by gathering your parts together:
- 1 x Arduino Uno
- 1 x Breadboard
- 1 x Transistor (P2N222AG)
- 1 x Diode (1N4001)
- 1 x Toy Motor
- 1 x 2.2k Ohm Resistor (Red-Red-Red)

Step 3: Extensions
- Currently you are running your motor at full speed but it can take any number between 0 and 255. Change HIGH and/or LOW to another number. What is the lowest number that actually turns the motor. If the number is too low the motor will stall.
- Write another method that accelerates the motor from its stall speed to its max speed.
